I’m a maker who is interested in telling stories and building immersive, tactile worlds using experimental animation, video, and sound. I currently live in Duluth, MN, and teach Time-based Arts at the University of Minnesota Duluth. I’ve exhibited my work at the Soo Visual Art Center (Minneapolis, MN), Concordia University (St. Paul, MN), Human Resources (Los Angeles, CA), Elephant Art Gallery (Los Angeles, CA), Prøve Gallery (Duluth,MN) and Public Space 1 (Iowa City, IA).
My current collaborative project involves working with two professors from the Computer Science and Communication departments at UMD. We are working on a research project to study spatial and narrative learning in Virtual Reality. My role in the project has been to create and texture the 3D models, compose game environments, and help brainstorm game flow and interactions, along with mentoring undergraduate students who are working on 3D and 2D animated visuals for the game.
